EARLY CHILDHOOD

EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION IS DEFINED AS “OCCURRING BEFORE THE AGE OF EIGHT” BY THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG CHILDREN. THIS IS A PERIOD OF GROWTH WHERE A CHILD GOES THROUGH THEIR MOST RAPID BRAIN DEVELOPMENT AND IT IS ESSENTIAL TO BUILD THEIR EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION DURING THIS TIME PERIOD. LEARN ABOUT YOUR OPTIONS BELOW!

PRESCHOOL

PRESCHOOL IS THE FIRST LEARNING ENVIRONMENT THAT YOUR CHILD WILL EXPERIENCE. IT ALSO BUILDS THE FOUNDATION FOR THEIR COGNITIVE AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT. AT PRESCHOOL, YOUNG LEARNERS WILL BECOME EDUCATED ON HOW TO INTERACT WITH OTHER STUDENTS AND TEACHERS AND FUNCTION IN THE ACADEMIC ATMOSPHERE. WHILE PRESCHOOL IS NOT MANDATED BY THE GOVERNMENT, IT IS AN IMPORTANT OPPORTUNITY TO PROVIDE YOUR CHILD THE JUMPSTART TO THEIR EDUCATIONAL CAREER.

KINDERGARTEN

FOR YOUNG STUDENTS WHO DO NOT ATTEND PRESCHOOL, KINDERGARTEN WILL BE THE FIRST OUTSIDE LEARNING EXPERIENCE. IT ALSO IS THE FIRST FORMAL EDUCATION EXPERIENCE THEY WILL HAVE AND SERVES AS A BRIDGE BETWEEN PRESCHOOL AND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. HERE, CHILDREN WILL BEGIN TO LEARN MORE ADVANCED CONCEPTS AND CONTINUE DEVELOPING THE FOUNDATION OF THEIR EDUCATION. IT IS ANOTHER IMPORTANT STEP IN A YOUNG CHILD’S SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT AS WELL AS AN INTRODUCTION TO MORE ACADEMIC TOPICS.

MONTESSORI SCHOOLS

MONTESSORI SCHOOLS ARE CENTERED AROUND THE MONTESSORI METHOD OF LEARNING WHICH EMPHASIZES CURIOSITY, CREATIVENESS AND SELF-MOTIVATION. THIS IS A VERY DIFFERENT APPROACH TO LEARNING THAN MOST TRADITIONAL SCHOOLS. MOST NOTABLY, MULTIPLE AGE GROUPS LEARN WITHIN ONE ENVIRONMENT WITH NO DISTINCTION IN EDUCATION LEVELS. YOUNGER CHILDREN LEARN FROM THE OLDER ONES, WHILE THE OLDER CHILDREN ARE ABLE TO PRACTICE TEACHING THINGS THEY ALREADY KNOW.

EARLY LEARNING

FOR THE FIRST FEW YEARS OF A CHILD’S LIFE BEFORE THEY START THEIR EDUCATION, THEY STILL DO A LOT OF LEARNING. THIS LEANING IS ABOUT THEMSELVES AND THE WORLD AROUND THEM AND THE PARENTS ARE THE TEACHERS. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT PARENTS NOT ONLY ENCOURAGE HEALTHY DEVELOPMENT, BUT PROVIDE CHILDREN THE OPPORTUNITIES TO INTERACT WITH OTHER STUDENTS.
